As the Director of Manufacturing Equipment Engineering, you will oversee all aspects of manufacturing's equipment engineering to ensure high quality Sila next generation battery material is produced safely with highly efficient tooling. You will build a team to support existing toolsets through upgrades and improvements. Scaling the team to prepare for the next generation of technology and future facilities will be critical. A strong foundation in mechanical engineering and controls should be used to drive and motivate the team with a strong focus on building a continuous improvement mindset. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Lead and manage a team of Mechanical and Control Manufacturing Engineers that drive improved uptime and reliability for existing operational equipment, and support design teams in the scale-up and startup of new technologies Model and drive the commitment to safety through training, coaching, and engineering controls. Focus the team on continuous improvement utilizing equipment monitoring systems, downtime tracking, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) reporting. Facilitate and drive root cause analysis with respect to tool performance and downtime. Design a team to take immediate action and implement corrective actions. Work with the Equipment Development team on large scale tool upgrades, new installs, and creating more robust processes for future technologies. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 10 years' experience in an Engineering field Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) degree or higher Experience with industrial manufacturing tooling, automation, and controls Demonstrates strong leadership skills with an affinity for mentoring and developing others Strong initiative, organization, facilitation, presentation, and communication skills Hands-on, committed, and structured approach to problem solving and troubleshooting using industry standard frameworks. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Able to stand for extended periods of time Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection Repetitive use of hands - light handling of material
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
