Reporting to the Director of Logistics, the Logistics Coordinator will assist the department with tracking freight, scheduling pickups and providing customer service.
What You Will Do:
Track freight and communicate ETAs to Peet's internal channels Resolve issues with shipments and ensure delivery Work with carriers and warehouse to find missing shipments Address regional service issues with carriers Reroute shipments already in transit Communicate with other Peet's internal channels Pull docs (BOLs, PODs, invoices) from internal system and carrier websites Create BOLs and coordinate product transfers from warehouse to warehouse Set up pickups Collect info on damaged and missing loads and fill out claim forms Responsible for working with carriers to get BOLs signed and pass out BOLs Email and phone communication Other duties as requested upon you from management team Trained as backup for logistics specialist:
weather report, book FTLs, request trailers and trailer pickups for warehouse Use Microsoft D365, basic Excel, Outlook, carrier websites Who You Are:
Self-starter who embraces customer service excellence and continuous improvement Collaborative team player who can partner cross functionally to achieve desired results Excellent oral and written communications skills Background in supply chain operations (transportation, logistics, shipping, distribution, warehouse) Comfortable reading and using basic Excel reports Excellent oral and written communications skills Demonstrate the ability to prioritize, plan, multi-function and manage time effectively Location:
Peet's Distribution Center - 650 85th Avenue, Oakland California & Peet's Home Office - 1400 Park Avenue, Emeryville California.
