The Production Lead accurately fills daily coffee orders by operating automated packaging equipment and monitoring the overall quality of coffee in an efficient manner.
Given the nature of responsibilities, some flexibility with scheduling is necessary.
What You Will Do:
Ensuring compliance to all prestart Safety and Quality requirements and signing-off required checklists Setting up the line for efficient and safe run with finished product conforming to all pre-specified quality standards.
Ensuring all code date units/ label printers are properly set as per the shop order(s) Setting up, cleaning and calibrating all scales to maintain accurate weight control.
Ensuring the line runs at or exceeds the budgeted efficiency.
Ensuring all equipment downtime is recorded and proper equipment log is maintained for analysis and prevention of recurrence.
Ensuring that the attainment requirement is understood and all proactive measures are taken to ensure production plan is met with.
Ensuring all equipment and workplace is kept clean and organized.
Autonomous Maintenance is up to the mark.
Ensuring all size/blend/sku changeovers are efficient and within stipulated time.
Palletizing skids of finished product Complying with all Plant GMP and Health & Safety rules and other relevant business process Ensuring Quality standards are met as per product specification sheet and all QC/QA processes are complied with.
Ensuring correct materials are used as per the BOM on shop order Ensuring package integrity and appearance confirm to Peet's Quality standards Ensuring all material returned material is properly identified, counted and recorded Trouble shooting machine problems and acting upon a solution to resolve the situation Who You Are:
4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or related business; team Lead experience and Food Manufacturing background is a plus.
Solid leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Strong technical, and mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor adjustments to the equipment independently Proficient in setting-up, operating, changing-over, and monitoring packaging equipment Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Ability to communicate with other departments in a productive, professional manner.
Manual dexterity and the ability to comfortably lift 50 pounds and be able to push/move coffee hoppers containing up to 1,500 pounds of coffee.
Ability to stand for the entire work day and work in a fast paced environment.
Accuracy, thoroughness, reliability, and ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to uphold safety, food safety, and production quality and freshness standards.
Orientation to teamwork and strong organizational skills.
Must be able to maintain production pace of equipment and expected throughput.
Team oriented attitude and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
Self-directed and able to complete all tasks with minimal supervision.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Fork lift certifiable.
Scheduling flexibility (ability to work early morning, evening and weekend shifts as needed) Able to work overtime as needed in order to meet production demands.
Must be willing and able to work in an industrial environment with moderate/intermittent noise and nuisance dust.
