Asssitant Manager Distribution Operations

Overview

OVERALL FUNCTION:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for the day to day operations to support business objectives. Ensures employee safety, efficiencies, and quality.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead, hire, develop, and manage the performance of team
  • Effectively motivate, train, and communicate with team to ensure superior levels of safety, reliability, cleanliness, and quality
  • Provide performance level feedback and ensure that all team members are trained to support all aspects of operations
  • Manage labor and work flow for maximum efficiencies and meet timelines
  • Effective communication with team, peers and leadership
  • Measure and repeat key metrics
  • Identity process improvement opportunities
  • Creates and sustains a cohesive, positive, and clean work environment
  • Execute business initiatives with excellence
  • Operates within established budgets, forecasts, cost objectives, and service levels to control expenses.
  • Supports implementation of cost, quality, and service improvement initiatives
  • Achieves and drives for results in Safety, Service, Quality, and Costs
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 5 years experience in warehouse operations and management
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated presentation, training and leadership skills promoting teamwork and fostering a productive and respective work environment
  • Ability to coach and mentor others
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Proficient in safety procedures
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP)


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
