JOB SUMMARY
The Advanced Development group, located in Chicago, IL, Alameda, CA, and Rockville, MD, is responsible for the development of new products worldwide. The Advanced Development group includes three functional groups Enterprise Software, System Design, and Project Management. The Advanced Development team will also continue to advance technology and prove out new project concepts . You will work in an office environment and engage in a wide variety of support tasks that require a high degree of computer and organizational skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines. The diversity of duties requires the application of judgment and self-directed initiative. This position also requires that you accurately and carefully follow established procedures for completing assigned tasks. You should display energy, enthusiasm and personality. You will interact with team members in all S&C pay groups and develop positive working relationships using your excellent communication skills. In this position you will support all aspects front office administration.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Receive and direct incoming calls to the appropriate personnel and voicemial. Respond in a timely manner to standard telephone requests
Professionally greet and announce clients, applicants and visitors.
Maintain a neat and organized appearance of the office, conference rooms, break rooms and other common areas.
Review and distribute all incoming correspondence for appropriate action. Coordinate outgoing mail.
Requisition office, break room, printing, maintenance supplies and other services as required. Restocks conference rooms, breakrooms and other common areas as needed.
Coordinate event catering for team member events, interviews, meetings, etc.
Assist in scheduling meetings for various leaders
Process expense reports and invoices
Assemble binders and other miscellaneous materials as needed
Assist with airfare, hotel and taxi reservations.
Assist with scheduling phone, virtual and on-site interviews, including management of participant calendars.
Create standard work documentation including recommendations for process improvements.
To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
Associates degree in business, or equivalent experience in a professional office environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to represent S&C in a professional manner.
Energetic with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
Demonstrated intermediate or better competence in the use of Excel, Word, and other MS Office software.

year of administrative experience in a professional office

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
