Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist, GS-0132-13

In this position as the Intelligence Research Specialist, you will serve as the Chief for the Living Marine Resources Section and as supervisor for 8-10 personnel to include military officers, military enlisted and Coast Guard civilians. You will manage the military and civilian Intelligence Specialists intelligence relevant to fisheries in the Pacific Area to support operational and tactical decisions. Being a CG civilian makes you a valuable member of the CG team. Typical work assignments include:
Supervising and recommending significant new initiatives and policies based on assessment and functional research/experience. Coordinating and monitoring the section's analytical work, provide product focus, manage personnel matters and perform intelligence research on all matters within the section. Investigating, designing, and implementing command-specific and theater-specific information sharing policies, practices and procedures to streamline related impact to include, economic, military, etc. in the Pacific Region. Preparing and providing consultation services and briefings on Coast Guard classified and unclassified intelligence assessments to maintain the analytical integrity standards. Maintaining necessary records required for foreign disclosure reviews, visits, and processes, to include computer data input as necessary. FOR THE GS-13 GRADE LEVEL:
Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level (in the Federal service) performing duties such as:
Providing guidance and assistance to Foreign Disclosure Representatives (FDRs) for release of materials related to the command's mission sets to foreign partners; Researching, analyzing, and coordinating information with other staff offices to resolve matters and ensure foreign disclosure information follow compliance with law and regulations; Establishing procedures to control the release of information; Drafting and maintaining written information needed for the proper execution of the Foreign Disclosure Program. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line work. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
