About This Career OpportunityAn Apartment Maintenance Technician:
Under direction of the Director of Plant Operations or Maintenance Supervisor, the Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of the apartmet complex and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
Making units ready for move-in.
Have a working knowledge of HVAC/PTAC systems and be able to maintain, repair, and replace HVAC systems.
Complete preventative maintenance programs as scheduled through our work order system.
Complete grounds work such as pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping.
Coordinate special projects as needed.
Are You Qualified?Here's what you need:
Ability for on-call duties as needed.
Have the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Be able to maintain effective and coorperative work relationships.
Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow team members.
Detailed and thorough in work habits.
Ability to prioritize routine tasks versus immediate needs.
Knowledgeable in procedures for emergencies such as elevator failure, floods, power loss, fires, etc is preferred.
Six months of facilities experience working in long term care, home care or a related field is preferred.
