What You'll DoYou will work closely with the Workers' Comp & General Liability Manager to achieve an organized Workers' Compensation and General Liability operations for the Company.
In this hands-on administrative role within the Workers' Compensation and General Liability insurance program, you will coordinate communication between the Third-Party Administrator, management, and employees.
You will also perform data analysis and reporting on a daily and monthly basis and assist in special projects.
Partner with and advise store management team on the claims procedures.
Create and manage WC claims case files and process, including Leave of Absence and Return-To-Work to move claims to closure.
Create reports for claim loss activity, reconciliation, and management review.
Maintain log and files of customer incidents.
Maintain and retrieve Certificates of Insurance.
Address and reply to Legal and attorney requests and subpoenas.
Develop and maintain internal and external relations and communications for:
Claims reportingCommunication of compliance materialsThird-Party-Administrators for claim reviews and loss prevention trackingAuditors, State Funds Agencies, and legal counselPartner with the Loss Prevention Team on the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and safety record keeping requirementsPartner with Store and Distribution Center Management teams on the WC claims reporting process and policies, such as Return-To-Work, Leave of Absence, Compliance postings and Safety Programs.
Assist in special projects, such as the developing safety program to ensure OSHA, risk and finance compliance and objectives.
What You'll BringBS in Business or related field.
1 - 2 years of relevant experience in corporate insurance, such General Liability, Workers' Compensation, and Safety procedures.
Knowledge of corporate and workers' compensation insurance regulations, ADA/FMLA regulations and Federal (OSHA).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, negotiate and manage competing priorities.
Strong analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to collect data, identify and communicate data-informed insights and recommendations.
